Population structure and genetic diversity in Argentina
Marina Muzzio
Instituto Multidisciplinario de Biología Celular
The aim of this project is to describe Argentina's genetic composition and population structure taking into account its geographical and historical diversity. We are especially interested in possible regional differences on the Native American component of these populations, plus those on the sources and amount of foreign migration. Specifically, on the Native American component we are looking for signals of adaptation to different selective pressures such as high altitude hypoxia.
