Hantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome is a severe heart-lung disease that affects human beings in America. It was first recognized in United States where its causative agent was isolated from a deer mouse. The main objectives are: 1) to learn how long-term ecological studies on Hantavirus are carried out in Montana, USA, and 2) to learn field and laboratory molecular biology techniques used for Hantavirus research.
