The Bunge y Born Foundation has contributed equipment for the Outpatients Hospital and the Surgery Department in order to improve the therapeutical resources available to the institute. The Outpatients Hospital, which treats some 400 outpatients for chemotherapy each month, received 15 continuous transfusion pumps to administer citostatic medication accurately, safely and reliably. Two biological safety booths were also donated to protect operators, the environment and the products themselves.
Furthermore, the Angel Roffo Institute was able to carry out extensive construction work to its recently-opened Outpatients Hospital, thanks to the funds raised during its 2009 Marathon.
The anesthesia table was donated to the Surgery Department which performs an average of 180 to 200 operations per month.
