The Bunge y Born Foundation is pleased to announce that entries may now be received for the ninth edition of the Jorge Oster Oncology Scholarship Awards, directed at professionals with at least two years’ experience in this area.
Those invited to participate are professionals up to and including 40 years of age, with a university degree in medicine, bio-chemistry, biology, chemistry, physics, radiology, nursing or another related discipline. Applicants must present their project with the name of the institution at which they would like to further their studies.
The Scholarship Awards, set up in the memory of Jorge Oster, a distinguished figure in Argentine economic circles and vice president of Bunge y Born from 1928 to 1949, have a duration of 4 months and cover travel expenses there and back, daily living allowances and health insurance.
A jury of experts will select the proposals with the greatest potential for incorporating and implementing skills, technologies and resources which are currently unavailable in this country and which could be applied to improve the practice of Oncology and the welfare of cancer patients in Argentina.
In the eight contests held so far, sixty professionals from around the country have been selected to receive the Jorge Oster Scholarship Award and have been able to further their studies at renowned research centers in Europe and North America.
