The Bunge y Born Foundation is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to “promote scientific investigation by means of awards, scholarships and grants, and enable many kinds of activities aimed at benefiting health, education and culture in the community at large.”
The Foundation was created on August 1, 1963 on the occasion of Bunge y Born’s 80th anniversary in Argentina.
In the interests of fulfilling its mission, the Bunge y Born Foundation carries out the following activities:

The award of an annual prize for scientific research, which has taken place every year since 1964, as well as several scholarships and grants for researchers;

The donation of school materials to support hundreds of rural primary schools in isolated locations across Argentina. The Foundation organizes and finances training programs for teachers and provides resources to develop other educational activities.
