The Sembrador Program is inviting rural teachers from schools taking part in the program to participate in its distance learning scheme. The invitation is by geographical area through regional supervisors for a series of courses which last eight weeks and include a whole day’s worth of presential sessions.
The teachers who have signed up may take part for free through the Virtual Classroom which has been especially designed by the Bunge y Born and Perez Companc Foundations. The Virtual Classroom may be accessed through the FBB web.

The courses include activities which have been planned by the trainers, as well as practical projects, involvement in forums and chats and a presential meeting focusing on teaching techniques to use in the classroom.
As this is a distance learning course, there are tutorials available for each teacher taking part from the Bunge y Born Foundation. The tutors help the teachers to deal with the technological side of things, as well as solving any problems which tend to arise, providing advice and encouragement throughout the course.
The courses are endorsed by the Minister of Education in each province and have in many cases been declared of educational interest by the province.
For more information on the courses, watch the video of a news spot on "Andino y el país”, America 24, September 2010.
